The company was founded under the name PT Seruling Indah Permai in 1996 and then changed its name to PT Link Net TBK in 2000 with business activities in the field of trading goods and services. In 2011 and 2019 there were additional business activities, including activities in the field of providing cable telecommunications activities, multimedia services, internet, trade, and business management consulting services.On June 22 2022, the Company became part of the Axiata Group following the completion of the transaction to take over the Company's shares.

The Company operates Hybrid Fiber Coaxial (“HFC”) and Fiber To The Home (“FTTH”) cable systems with high technology and is capable of operating 870 MHz two-way broadband services.Currently PT Link Net Tbk is one of the largest private infrastructure and telecommunications network providers which has succeeded in building more than 4,000,000 Homepasses in more than 47 cities in Indonesia. We placed three Headends in strategic locations in the central business areas of Jakarta, Surabaya and Bali.

To maintain network frequency stability, we have placed several connecting hubs with redundant fiber optic circles connected to the Headend The company stretches across the Jabodetabek area, Bandung and its surroundings, Surabaya and its surroundings (including Malang, Gresik, Sidoarjo), Bali, Serang-Cilegon, Semarang, Solo, Medan, Batam, Cikampek-Purwakarta, Cirebon, Tegal, Yogyakarta and Kediri.

In mid-2014, the Company undertook steps to list PT Link Net Tbk as a public company or Tbk, and we carried out the Initial Public Offering (IPO) of its shares and listed on the Indonesian Stock Exchange on June 2, 2014 with Company’s stock code “LINK”.

Currently, Linknet is dedicated to improving lives and supporting Indonesia’s digital growth by delivering smart, reliable technology infrastructure through its three main business units. The new business units are FiberCo for fiber optic networks, EnterpriseCo for connectivity and B2B solutions, and MediaCo for content and media services. Link Net helps power the country’s digital future.
